Company Profile

From The NIV Bible to Rob ParsonsPhilip Yancey to J.JohnRichard Foster to Joyce Meyer and R.T. Kendall to Maggi Dawn, Hodder Faith seeks to provide a platform for Christian views to be expressed across all denominations, races and ages. We know that our readership demands books that are thought provoking, cutting-edge and challenging – covering topics such as Christian apologetics, leadership, church unity and social justice – and it is our goal to provide them.

Hodder & Stoughton was founded in 1868 as a Christian publisher and from the beginning sought to publish the highest quality of commercial material for that era. The announcement that appeared in the Publishers' Circular of 1 July 1868 lists the first five titles on our list and gives a very clear indication of the direction of the company:

One of Hodder & Stoughton’s earliest publications was a book by a young, up and coming evangelist called Henry Drummond and his publication THE GREATEST THING IN THE WORLD became a worldwide best seller. It is considered a classic and still incredibly relevant today. We are currently releasing a set of Hodder Classics and are pleased to launch the collection with a new edition of this very work.

We are proud of Hodder & Stoughton's heritage and seek to build on it today. Other great writers from the Hodder archive include G K Chesterton, Corrie ten Boom, Elizabeth Goudge and more recently John Stott, Billy Graham and Martyn Lloyd-Jones.

We publish the NIV and the Today's NIV Bibles and are working very hard to ensure the range of products available in these translations meets the needs of our customers across the board.

Hodder Faith has a strong list of Christian authors and the list continues to grow from strength to strength. We are now venturing into eBooks and other innovative media solutions.
